All Algorithm Classification

Classes of algorithm defined by how they behave, what they take as input or how they are built, rather than by the problem they solve, together with general programming approaches that relate to algorithm design. An entry belongs here when it names a kind of algorithm such as a sequential, hybrid, adaptive or emergent one, or a technique for specializing or certifying an algorithm. It excludes algorithms that solve a specific problem, which belong to the problem-based subcategories such as sorting, searching or graph algorithms.
