Object Pascal is an extension to the programming language Pascal that provides object-oriented programming features such as classes and inheritance. Originally developed by Apple Computer as Clascal and further developed with contribution from Niklaus Wirth, the most prominent dialect is the one implemented by Borland's Turbo Pascal and its successor Delphi, first released in 1995, which remains the platform most commonly associated with the name today.
