All Proprietary and Public-Domain Terms

Terms at the opposite ends of the licensing spectrum. It covers proprietary software, whose owner keeps control of use and source code, and the dedication of software to the public domain, which gives up the owner's rights. An entry belongs here when it describes the absence of a conventional open source license. It excludes the named open source licenses, which are placed in the permissive and copyleft groups.
