Brainfuck is an esoteric programming language created in 1993 by Swiss student Urban Muller, notable for its extreme minimalism: the language consists of only eight simple commands, a data pointer, and an instruction pointer. Despite this minimalism, Brainfuck is Turing-complete, and its design was intended to challenge and amuse programmers by requiring them to express algorithms in the smallest possible compiler, the original compiler by Muller being just 240 bytes.
