Intelligent Agents and Artificial Intelligence

Fields concerned with building systems that behave intelligently, pursue goals and act to achieve them. It covers the broad field of artificial intelligence, systems of many interacting autonomous agents, collective problem solving inspired by the behavior of insect colonies and flocks, and programs that produce novel and valued creative work. A field belongs here when it studies reasoning, planning, cooperation or autonomy as general capabilities. It excludes learning from data, language, vision and graphics, which have their own groups in this subcategory.
