All Network Architecture and Protocols

Fields concerned with how computers are connected and how they exchange data. It covers the layered design of networks, the protocols that route and deliver messages across them, and the performance and reliability of the links that carry them. A field belongs here when it studies communication between machines as such. It excludes wireless and mobile devices and the connection of everyday objects, which have their own group, and the security of communication, which belongs to Security And Privacy.
