Quantum Computation and Information

Fields concerned with computing and information processing that use the laws of quantum mechanics. It covers algorithms and machines that exploit superposition and entanglement, and the theory of how quantum states carry, transform and protect information. A field belongs here when quantum behavior is essential to the computation. It excludes the classical models of computation placed in their own group and the general physics of quantum devices.
