All Distributed, Cloud and Edge Computing

Fields concerned with computation spread across many separate machines that cooperate over a network. It covers the coordination of distributed programs, pooled computing resources shared across institutions, rented computing services delivered over the internet, processing placed near the source of data at the edge of the network, and systems that manage and repair themselves. A field belongs here when the machines are independent and communicate by messages. It excludes the tightly coupled parallel machines of the parallel group and the protocols and links of Networks.
