EdgeRank is the name commonly given to the algorithm that Facebook once used to decide which posts appeared in a user's News Feed. Facebook stopped using the EdgeRank system in 2011, replacing it with a machine learning algorithm that, by 2013, took more than 100,000 factors into account.
