Leiden Algorithm

The Leiden algorithm is a community detection algorithm developed by Traag and colleagues at Leiden University as a modification of the earlier Louvain method. Like the Louvain method, it attempts to optimize modularity when extracting communities from networks, but it addresses two problems present in the Louvain method, namely the possibility of poorly connected communities and the resolution limit inherent to modularity optimization.
