Machine Learning Models

Mathematical models that learn patterns from data, rather than being given explicit rules. The group includes artificial neural networks and two of their best-known forms, the convolutional network for images and the recurrent network for sequences, together with decision trees, support vector machines, Bayesian networks that encode probabilities among variables, and the Markov decision process used to describe decisions made step by step under uncertainty.
