Declarative Research Languages

Research languages that explore ways of writing programs without spelling out every step of control. Curry merges functional and logic programming, including constraint programming, and is based on Haskell, while Lucid is a dataflow language designed to experiment with programming models that do not follow the von Neumann machine. Lucid was designed by Bill Wadge and Ed Ashcroft and described in a 1985 book, and Curry combines elements of functional and logic programming.
