Polynomial long division

Polynomial long division is an algorithm for dividing one polynomial by another of the same or lower degree, generalizing the ordinary arithmetic technique of long division. It can be carried out by hand because it breaks a complex division problem into a series of smaller steps. The algorithm implements Euclidean division of polynomials, producing a quotient and a remainder from the two input polynomials.
