Bairstow's method is an efficient numerical analysis algorithm for finding the roots of a real polynomial of arbitrary degree, first appearing in the appendix of Leonard Bairstow's 1920 book Applied Aerodynamics. The algorithm finds roots in complex conjugate pairs while using only real arithmetic.
