All C-Family Object-Oriented Languages

C-Family Object-Oriented Languages are object-oriented languages whose design and often their syntax descend from the C programming language rather than merely resembling it on the surface. Wikipedia's own survey of this family records that C++ started under the working name C with Classes, Bjarne Stroustrup's class-based extension of C, and was renamed C++ in 1983. The same survey describes Java as an object-oriented language influenced heavily by Objective-C with a syntax based somewhat on C++, C# as a modern object-oriented language Microsoft built for the dot-NET framework in the early 2000s, and Objective-C itself as an object-oriented dynamic language based heavily on Smalltalk layered onto ordinary C.
