Nolan Bushnell is an American businessman and electrical engineer, born February 5, 1943, in Clearfield, Utah, recognized as one of the founding figures of the video game industry. After working as an electrical engineer at Ampex, where he met Ted Dabney, he formed Syzygy with Dabney in 1970, renamed Atari in 1972, and led the company through the creation of Pong and the launch of the Atari 2600 before Warner Communications removed him as CEO in 1979. He later founded the Chuck E.
