Shih-Fu Chang is a Taiwanese computer scientist and electrical engineer who is the Morris A. and Alma Schapiro Professor of Engineering at Columbia University, where he has served as dean of the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science since 2022. He is noted for his research on multimedia information retrieval, computer vision, machine learning and signal processing, served as chair of the ACM Special Interest Group on Multimedia from 2013 to 2017, and was ranked the Most Influential Scholar in the field of Multimedia by Aminer in 2016.
