John Mylopoulos

John Mylopoulos is a Greek Canadian computer scientist born in Greece on July 12, 1943, a professor at the University of Toronto and the University of Trento known for his contributions to conceptual modeling and for developing the Tropos methodology, an agent oriented approach to software development. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Brown University in 1966 and a doctorate from Princeton University in 1970, and his research spans conceptual modeling, semantic data models, and requirements engineering. He was elected a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, received the Peter P. Chen Award for outstanding contributions to conceptual modeling, and was awarded an honorary doctorate by RWTH Aachen University.
