Milind Tambe

Milind Shashikant Tambe is an Indian-American computer scientist and professor of computer science at Harvard University, where he directs the Center for Research on Computation and Society, and also directs AI for Social Good at Google Research India. He pioneered applications of computational game theory for operational security, including the ARMOR scheduling system deployed at Los Angeles International Airport beginning in 2007, and later applied AI and machine learning to anti-poaching work through the PAWS wildlife conservation project. His honors include the AAAI Award for Artificial Intelligence for the Benefit of Humanity in 2024, ACM Fellow in 2013, and AAAI Fellow in 2007.
