Yoav Shoham, born January 22, 1956, is an Israeli computer scientist and professor emeritus at Stanford University whose research spans artificial intelligence, logic, and game theory. He has founded and sold several AI companies, including TradingDynamics, Katango, and Timeful, co-founded AI21 Labs, and worked at Google as a principal scientist, and he co-taught a widely viewed Coursera course on game theory. He initiated the AI Index project, which tracks progress in artificial intelligence.
