Su-In Lee

Su-In Lee, born in 1979, is a South Korean and American computer scientist known for her research on explainable artificial intelligence and its application to biomedical research. She holds the Boeing Endowed Professorship in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, where her work develops methods that make the reasoning behind machine learning predictions interpretable to scientists and clinicians. Her research has helped establish foundational principles for using explainable AI in biomedical discovery.
