Julia Hirschberg is an American computer scientist noted for her research on computational linguistics and natural language processing. She received her first PhD in history from the University of Michigan and a second PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in computer science. She worked at Bell Labs and AT&T Bell Labs from 1985 to 2002 and has been at Columbia University since 2002, where she is the Percy K. and Vida L. W. Hudson Professor of Computer Science.
