John Yen

John Yen is professor of data science and professor-in-charge of data science in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Pennsylvania State University, where he leads the Laboratory of AI for Cyber Security and previously founded the Cancer Informatics Initiative. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986 under Lotfi A. Zadeh, was the main architect at USC Information Sciences Institute of a knowledge-level AI architecture from 1986 to 1989, later directed the Center for Fuzzy Logic, Robotics, and Intelligent Systems at Texas A&M University, and is an IEEE Fellow.
