Nick Jennings, born Nicholas Robert Jennings in December 1966, is a British computer scientist who was appointed Vice-Chancellor and President of Loughborough University in 2021. He previously served as Vice-Provost for Research and Enterprise at Imperial College London, held the UK's first Regius Professorship of Computer Science, and was the inaugural Chief Scientific Adviser to the UK Government on National Security, with research spanning artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and agent-based computing. His honors include the Computers and Thought Award in 1999, the ACM/SIGART Autonomous Agents Research Award in 2003, and the Lovelace Medal in 2020.
