Pradeep Kumar Khosla (born March 13, 1957, in Bombay, India) is an Indian-American computer scientist and engineer who has served as the eighth chancellor of the University of California, San Diego, since August 2012. Earlier he was an electrical engineering professor and dean of the Carnegie Mellon College of Engineering, with a 1986 PhD thesis on real-time control and identification of direct-drive robotic manipulators, and research spanning reconfigurable and distributed robotic systems, embedded control and collaborative autonomous systems.
