Chip Elliott

Chip Elliott is an American engineer best known for his work creating advanced computer networks. In the early 2000s he led the design and build out of the DARPA Quantum Network, the world's first quantum cryptography network, operating ten optical nodes across the Boston region, and later served as founding Project Director for GENI, the Global Environment for Network Innovations, a national suite of experimental infrastructure created across more than sixty university campuses by the National Science Foundation. He holds over ninety issued patents and has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, an ACM Fellow and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
