Paul Vixie

Paul Vixie is an American computer scientist and internet pioneer who made extensive technical contributions to the Domain Name System, working on the BIND DNS server software at Digital Equipment Corporation before founding the Internet Systems Consortium in 1996 to maintain it. He wrote the version of the Unix cron job scheduler in wide use on many systems, commonly known as Vixie cron, and in 1998 founded Mail Abuse Prevention System, among the first successful commercial anti-spam services.
