Eric Rick C. R. Hehner (born 16 September 1947) is a Canadian computer scientist who studied at Carleton University and the University of Toronto before becoming a full professor at Toronto in 1983. His main research area is formal methods of software design, developing a method he called predicative programming, later the Practical Theory of Programming, in which each specification is a binary expression and refinement is implication.
