Daniel Singer Bricklin (born July 16, 1951) is an American businessman and engineer, co-creator with Bob Frankston of VisiCalc, the first spreadsheet program, often called the father of the spreadsheet for this work. He founded Software Garden, Inc., later founded Trellix, and currently serves as chief technology officer of Alpha Software; he was one of six people spotlighted when Time magazine named the Computer its 1982 Machine of the Year.
