Darrell Don Earl Long is an American computer scientist and computer engineer, the inaugural holder of the Kumar Malavalli Endowed Chair of Storage Systems Research and distinguished professor emeritus of engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He was editor-in-chief of the IEEE Letters of the Computer Society and of ACM Transactions on Storage, and in 2002 founded the Conference on File and Storage Technologies.
