Mark Bolzern is one of the original pioneers of both the Internet and the Linux operating system. He founded early Linux-specific community portals including LinuxNews, LinuxMall, LinuxPro, LinuxGuru and PenguinPower, and he created the original plush Tux mascot based on the drawing by Larry Ewing. His work at LinuxMall supported various Linux events, and his achievements are described in Glyn Moody's book Rebel Code.
