Wireless and Mobile Networking

This group gathers pioneers of computer networking whose primary contribution was wireless and mobile communication, including Wi-Fi and wireless local area networking, cellular and mobile telephony standards such as CDMA, mobile IP and networking protocols adapted for wireless links, wireless email, and research into low-power and backscatter wireless communication. Their shared work is moving network data over a radio link to a moving or untethered device, as distinct from the wired protocol and routing work of Internet Protocols and Routing.
