Perry R. Cook, born September 25, 1955, is an American computer music researcher and professor emeritus of computer science and music at Princeton University, where he founded and headed the Princeton Sound Lab. He has worked in physical modeling, singing voice synthesis, music information retrieval, and real-time computer music programming languages and systems, co-authoring the Synthesis Toolkit with Gary Scavone and the ChucK programming language with Ge Wang, and is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery and the Guggenheim Foundation.
