Charlotte Froese Fischer

Also Known As Charlotte Fischer
Theory of Computation

Charlotte Froese Fischer was a Canadian-American applied mathematician, computer scientist and physicist noted for developing and implementing the Multi-Configurational Hartree-Fock approach to atomic structure calculations and its application to describing atomic structure and spectra. Her theoretical prediction of the negative ion of calcium, the first known anion of a Group 2 element, was later confirmed experimentally and was cited in her election as a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
