Ricardo A. Baeza-Yates (born March 21, 1961) is a Chilean computer scientist specializing in algorithms, data structures, information retrieval, web search and responsible AI. Since 2025 he has been a part-time professor at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden, and is also part-time professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and Universidad de Chile in Santiago. He is an ACM Fellow (2009) and an IEEE Fellow (2011), and previously served as CTO of the semantic search company NTENT and as VP of Research for Yahoo! Labs.
