Dimitris Fotakis is a Greek computer scientist born and raised in Patras, an associate professor of theoretical computer science at the National Technical University of Athens known for his research in algorithmic game theory. He earned a diploma in computer engineering from the University of Patras in 1994 and a doctorate in computer science from the same university in 1999, then carried out postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Germany from 2001 to 2003 before joining the National Technical University of Athens faculty in 2009.
