Stathis Zachos

Stathis Zachos is a Greek mathematician, logician, and theoretical computer scientist born in Athens in 1947, who earned a doctorate in mathematics and computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in 1978. He has held positions at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, the National Technical University of Athens, and as a researcher at MIT, and his work on randomized complexity classes, Arthur Merlin protocols, interactive proof systems, and graph isomorphism includes introducing the complexity class Parity-P together with Christos Papadimitriou. His results are cited in standard textbooks of computational complexity theory. He is the brother of theoretical physicist Cosmas Zachos.
