Grzegorz Rozenberg

Grzegorz Rozenberg (born March 14, 1942, in Warsaw) is a Polish and Dutch computer scientist. His primary research areas are natural computing, formal language and automata theory, graph transformations, and concurrent systems. He is referred to as the guru of natural computing, having promoted the vision of natural computing as a coherent scientific discipline since the 1970s, giving the discipline its current name and defining its scope. His research career spans over forty five years. He is a professor at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science of Leiden University in the Netherlands and an adjoint professor of computer science at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
