Kurt Bollacker is an American computer scientist with a research background in machine learning, digital libraries, semantic networks and electrocardiographic modeling. He received a Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, co-created the CiteSeer research tool at the NEC Research Institute, and later led creation of the Wayback Machine as Technical Director of the Internet Archive before becoming Chief Scientist at Metaweb Technologies, a key contributor to Freebase.
