Harry Huskey

Harry Douglas Huskey (19 January 1916 to 9 April 2017) was an American computer design pioneer who worked on the ENIAC and EDVAC in 1945 and then collaborated with Alan Turing on the Pilot ACE at Britain's National Physical Laboratory. He designed and managed the construction of the Standards Western Automatic Computer, known as SWAC, at the United States National Bureau of Standards between 1949 and 1953, and later engineered the Bendix G-15, a 950 pound machine operable by a single person. Huskey went on to establish computer science programs at the University of California, Berkeley and at Santa Cruz.
