C Shell

The C Shell (csh) is a Unix shell and scripting language developed by Bill Joy at the University of California, Berkeley in the late 1970s as part of the BSD Unix distribution, notable for adopting control-flow and expression syntax modeled on the C programming language, in contrast to the Bourne shell's more traditional shell syntax. The C Shell introduced job control and command history to widespread Unix use, both later adopted by other shells, though its scripting language is now generally considered to have design flaws that limit its use for serious script-writing, with the enhanced tcsh preferred for interactive use.
