Query languages for data that is stored as a graph of linked items rather than as tables. SPARQL is the query language for RDF data and one of the key technologies of the semantic web, Cypher is a declarative query language for property graphs that originated at Neo4j, and GraphQL lets a client ask for exactly the data it needs from one or many sources. GraphQL separates what data a client asks for from where it is stored, and SPARQL was made a standard by the RDF Data Access Working Group of the World Wide Web Consortium.
