SM3 (Hash Function)

SM3 is a cryptographic hash function standardized in China for use in commercial cryptography. It was released by the State Cryptography Administration on 17 December 2010 and later published as the national standard GM/T 0004-2012. SM3 is regarded as having security and efficiency comparable to SHA-256, and it is used to implement digital signatures, message authentication codes and pseudorandom number generators, and can be used within Transport Layer Security, though it is not enabled there by default.
