Algorithmic Art and Media

Algorithms used to create artistic and media content. It covers art produced by following a program or rule system, including the work of artists who write the algorithm as their medium. An entry belongs here when its subject is the making of art or media content by algorithm, whether the rules are written by the artist or the process is left to run on its own once started. It excludes the compression of video and images, which belongs to Data Compression Algorithms, and general image processing methods.
