Htmx is an open-source front-end JavaScript library that extends HTML with custom attributes enabling the use of AJAX directly in HTML, following a hypermedia-driven approach. These attributes allow a web page to be defined dynamically directly in HTML and CSS, without writing additional JavaScript, so that tasks that traditionally required JavaScript can be done entirely in HTML. The library was created by Carson Gross as a new version of intercooler.js.
