Fields concerned with defending computer systems and the information they hold against misuse. It covers the protection of confidentiality, integrity and availability, the analysis of threats and vulnerabilities, and the controls and practices organizations use to manage risk. A field belongs here when it is about securing real systems and data. It excludes the mathematical design of cryptographic primitives, which belongs to cryptography and distributed ledgers.
