Search Trees and Dictionary Structures

Tree and list structures built to find, insert and remove keys quickly, such as the AVL tree, red-black tree, splay tree, B-tree, treap, skip list and van Emde Boas tree. An entry belongs here when its cited article describes a search tree, a self-balancing tree or a structure for storing keys for lookup. It excludes hash tables and filters, which sit in the hashing group. A member is placed here by what its own cited article states about it, not by the name of the algorithm or by the uses it is put to today, so each entry sits in the group its source describes it as belonging to.
