CSV

CSV (Comma-Separated Values) is a simple, widely used data serialization format for tabular data, in which each line represents one data record and fields within a record are separated by a delimiter, most commonly a comma. CSV has no single formal governing specification for most of its history, having emerged informally from early business and scientific data-processing practice, though RFC 4180, published in 2005, later documented a common interoperable convention. CSV remains one of the most common formats for spreadsheet and database data interchange because nearly every data tool can read and write it.
