Modelica is an object-oriented, declarative, multi-domain modeling language for the component-oriented modeling of complex physical systems, developed and maintained by the non-profit Modelica Association since 1996. Modelica is used to model systems containing mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, thermal, control, and process-oriented subcomponents in a single unified framework, expressing systems as differential, algebraic and discrete equations rather than assignment statements.
