Typed Superset Language

TypeScript is a programming language developed and maintained by Microsoft that adds optional static typing to JavaScript. Designed by Anders Hejlsberg and first released in 2012, TypeScript is a strict syntactic superset of JavaScript: every valid JavaScript program is also valid TypeScript, and the TypeScript compiler transpiles typed code down to plain JavaScript for execution. It is intended chiefly for building and maintaining large-scale JavaScript applications.
